This is interesting.
This reminds me of Botticelli's "Birth of Aphrodite." Is this an implication that the subject is divine in nature, or has abilities which border on the divine? Ah, perhaps it is the celebration of the female figure rendered in digital form and sterile light.
Both do seem to project the idea of the feminine form as beautiful and otherworldly. I suppose the difference is not just the span of time between each subject, it is the thoughts conveyed when taking the time to see each work. Yours is like an advertisement, promoting a product and yet also serves as a standalone work of art- so it is functional in nature. Botticelli was commissioned to paint his work- so he was paid to paint. Yet because of his patron ( the de Medicis) it also was a testament to not just his skill as a painter, but it spoke of the power, prestige and the wealth the lord of Florence possessed- so, it also made a statement, another way to advertise for Botticelli and for his patron. So, Botticelli's work was a subliminal message which indirectly helped the de Medici.
The only difference I could see is the technique and the style. Aphrodite rose from the sea, Cortana seems to have risen from another world, and yet it seems nondescript- like she could have been digitally born, just as Aphrodite was born from the remains of Uranos' testicles. A truly spontaneous birth...
