Description
Mighty Samson is an obscure and unusual superhero from Gold Key Comics in the 1970s. Born in the post-apocalyptic wasteland of N'yark, Samson was inhumanly strong from an early age. By the time he reached adulthood he was at least 7 feet tall and was often described as having the strength of 10 men (actually he often appears to be significantly stronger than that).

Accompanied by a scientist and his pretty daughter, Samson fought mutants, barbarians, monsters, robots, and other menaces to protect the helpless human survivors of his future world. He foreshadowed other characters, like Kuno of Doomsday + 4 and Thundarr the Barbarian, though I don't know if he was a direct inspiration for either.

Mighty Samson was created by Otto Binder and artist Frank Thorne and is the property of Western Publishing.
