This picture is what every picture should be like: there is a simple message, but the more you look at it, the more complex it becomes.
Nature is powerful and tough, and there is life even in the darkest places. The tree looks strong and fragile at the same time, reaching towards the open window, as if it is reaching for freedom.
I find this picture beautiful, even though most people probably think old, decayed buildings should be torn down. The show us that not everything made by humans is permanent. And they raise questions: Who lived in this house? Why is it in this condition? Why hasn't anyone done anything for it?
And of course there is the contrast: young, new, vital tree in old, tumbledown, worn-out environment. The colour scheme only emphasizes the difference. Impressive shot, altogether.

Reconquering truly is an appropriate name for this piece. The way the plants on the floor seem to have broken through, and the way the tree in the center of the room stretches toward the light does indeed bring to mind a recently won battle. The plants and the light dappling the ground further serve to make this room appear as if in the middle of a forest, rather than an empty building.
Photography of dilapidated buildings that were once well used seems to have become very popular as of late, but you succeeded in not only capturing the emptiness of an abandoned space, but the life that can spring forth in the absence of human interference which many other photographers have failed to do. Instead of simply photographing humanity's wastefulness, you inspired hope that nature has a fighting chance against us.
Excellent work, my friend. Excellent work.

Though it's abandoned, there's still life in that little room

Stunning-- abandoned places in the process of being reclaimed by nature always are. I like the sinks in the background- really lend some perspective to the scene.

It's great to see how nature somehow managed to survive in the weirdest places

Wow what I wouldn't give to find a place like this. I wonder what kind of building it used to be? Besides a bathroom. Doesn't seem that often that you would see a tree growing in the middle of a room.

It's like, the nature is taking its lost land, again.

Reminds me of an abandoned gas station near my University. It closed only a couple of years ago, but it's become overgrown quite quickly

This screams "forgotten story." And yet the little tree seems hopeful in that it's enduring. It's interesting how peaceful the trees and green on the hill outside of this room appear, in contrast to this.

The sinks and heater on the walls and such aren't even that old fashioned. Fascinating how quickly a building can crumble into ruin. Just as surprising is how quickly life can spring up and take over. Great capture!
