I find the angle of this image interesting, because an image this symmetrical is usually taken straight on, but you took it a bit to the side. Although I like that you decided to take it at a bit of a different angel, it looks sort of forced. However, when it comes to the colors of this room, it is flawless, it image is wonderful in so many ways. I have seen in many of your images that you have taken a great mixture of green and earth colors and the contrast makes the image very distinct from other images I have seen of the kind. Of course, I love urbex images a lot and I think your urbex images are a fantastic and even a bit fantastical.

Hello there, Matthias!

I'm sure waiting for better days will not bring this castle back to life. It's a totally abandoned castle, once full of luxury and valor. T'was a beautiful castle to look at. When I look back in time, it was beautiful and splendorous. But now, when we look at reality, it now looks like an abandoned place, filled with dust, rubble and debris, like if a part of the castle collapsed. The chairs may have been remade today if someone was interested in buying it. If the castle was restored it would have been splendorous still today. I love this photo and especially the little sepia tone makes it look like from the 60s. I hope you take more photos of abandoned buildings and I'm sure if I look back in time, it would have been beautiful.

I didn't see that you requested a critique so I cut it short haha. But I also like how the windows sit in between two semi-ellipses, giving the piece a lateral movement. The shape of the room allows the windows, through perspective, to funnel the viewer towards the focal point, or rather dual focal points(the chairs). I like the use of complimentary color, red and green. And the green around the focal point lets you settle there, while the red around the green agitates the eye and leads you there. The texture is also very pleasing. I also like how the brick on either side frames the piece. And again in the upper left, green vines, and on the upper right, red stone, a nice complimentary juxtaposition. I am not a photographer myself but I hope this critique is sufficing to a photographer of your caliber.

I like it. To love it, there is not enough fuckuping with saturation. But those are my two cents. I like it nonetheless. Yes.

This is simply beautiful. I'm lost for words. The colours and the way the rust embrace them in this picture gives it a sense of depth that is indescribable. This here is a stunning representation of how life used to be in the good old days and you have captured every detail.

A truly awe inspiring piece showing the calmness of .

Telling by the total decay in the area and the electrical wiring used, I would almost say that this castle was built between the late seventeen hundreds to early eighteen hundreds.

This is a very beautiful area indeed.
You captured the splendor of it's beauty perfectly, and for that, I thank you Matthias

I'm curious, have parts of these abandoned places been refurbished a little? such as furniture? I would think with the amount of rubble the furniture would appear more disintegrated. Not that I'm an expert in how things age

The rubble spilling in at the left, the beautiful seafoam still clinging desparately to the windows & falling from the arched ceilings and walls...the chairs, with a bit of life still in them...and collapse of the surrounding furnishings...make this a beautiful yet, despairing scene.
It's as if the castle is breathing out one last plea...in it's final hour. <3

Impressive picture and place. Its crazy to think in all work and time invested in this building just falling apart. Dificult to understand how this can happen. If is so abandoned why the authorities dont get it and sell to someone that can restaure and use.
