Great long exposure! Way to plan out your comp. My only suggestion would be to clone out the trail left by the airplane that flew through just above the tree tops.

Nice one. I was actually wondering about the thin, vertical, lighted line at about 3/5 in the lower part of the picture more than about the star reflecting in the water (that's just more noticable then the stars because the waters will always move a little bit and therefore reflectat different points). So what could that thin line be? Something from a spider net? But from its lightning it could be related to the stars also...

Vertical - horizontal... does it matter? Hehe... mixed it up, sorry! It's a horizontal thing there.

what aperture did you use to get this? with that long exposure.. well, i dont think 22 is enough if it wasnt really really Really dark?

pestilence In reply to StripedBlaha [2008-12-18 12:08:28 +0000 UTC]
As you can see in the picture its total darkness there in no way to get overexposure under this circumstances with a 30sec shutter speed...

StripedBlaha In reply to pestilence [2008-12-18 17:01:03 +0000 UTC]
i wouldnt say anything about 30 seconds. but the artists comment says 30 MINUTES.
i also didnt called it "overexposure", i just said bright. but anyways.

If you check on the comments above he states that he combined 30sec exposures together to get a 30minutes exposure
