Well I don't know what to do with myself "and my new toy".....quite literally..... Ive been playing around with some ideas but I don't care for them..... I posted this to see if anyone could do better than me.....Related content

that external LED is a pain, extra weight and you have to waste time to zero it.
my armed forces have a thing for LEDs to be put on SAW.

"External LED"? Do you mean the optic or the laser?
The optic is well worth zeroing....and I gladly trade the weight for quick accuracy. The laser is infrared anyway so I never used it for shooting just pointing in the dark....

the laser, well to me it is damn annoying, most of the time for night shooting, i will just chalk the tip of my M-16

M-68 Aimpoint.... Yeah, when I had this rifle they had just received a laser range finder device for the M203 that fit around the grip..... Put the flashlight on the side rail and this thing weighed in at like 13 lbs and looked like something out of a terminator movie......

I found I like the Eotech over the Aimpoint or the ACOG.
When I wasin the army, we didn't have lasers to determine range!

. . . . . No? According to wikipedia it has (well, an m1913 rail, but a carrying handle should be detachable from one of those).

I may be thinking of the M-16 variants.... its hard to keep em straight.... Yeah we were on 24hr duty.....so the redbull was just the start......

So, is it still easy to look through you aimpoint with that anpeq on top? Looks like the view's a bit obstructed like that.

It definantly is hard to see.....you basicaly have half the view plus the front sight post takes up some of the top middle..... When in combat I leave the front dust cover on and shoot with both eyes open so I have a clear view from one eye and a bright red dot in the other eye.....it works great......
