Races don't have personalities, they have stereotypes, and you're the perfect example of someone who stereotypes.

So what actually is there in Twilight that makes her humanization perfect to be Afro-[insert nationality here]? Is it because she's smart? So that all black people are smarter than other groups of people.
Btw, she looks more like an Indian than an Afro person.

Why are you accusing the artist of stereotyping? Maybe the artist just wanted a black Twilight just for the hell of it. Or maybe because Twilight's pony coat is dark, the artist thought that maybe her skin should be dark.

Also, if the latter of the reasons you said would be true (coat colour) then where would that leave Zecora and any other zebras?

We aren't talking about zebras, we are talking about Twilight.
Besides, if I were to draw Zecora, I would make her Mulatto. It makes sense to me.

Pony coat colour cannot really be compared to human skin colour, because the former is determined randomly, and latter by the area, where your nation has lived for many millenia.
I don't see how it would work, creating the ethnicity of the humanized version, simply by the colour of the coat of the pony.

The thing is, no one knows how the ponies would actually look humanized. So, people draw and color them the way they think they should be. If they see a dark coated pony, then it's possible they'll want to make the skin dark. It shouldn't be a big deal to people.

I never was making it a really big deal. In my opinion, people should draw and color either by a rule, or by no rule at all. Half measures are annoying (for ex. making human Twilight and human Zecora both as black, and then elaborating it by saying that Twilight is black because it fits her and Zecora is black because zebras correspond to Africans)
I probably wouldn't make humanized ponies dark skinned, mostly because black people are rare over here (there's about 1-3 black persons living in my town, which has a population of 30000).
