Someone recently got mad at me for feeling that not all the MLP characters are "white" because of they way they talk and the way they're colored in the show. Honestly...they're multicolored ponies! It is entirely up to the fans to decide what they'd look like as humans, you know? And who the heck tells race by the voices >.>
Anyway, beautifully done picture. Keep on drawing epic things

When I draw Fluttershy in human form, I make her Asian. With how their culture is formed, normal Japanese people are just that polite and humble to anyone that might be a smidgen higher on the status table. I think it suits her. Does anyone else do that?

That makes sense. I'm not sure if others do that--I've never seen it! I think it makes some sense (though you need to watch it on the generalizations of a certain culture), and I'm a fan of the multi-racial mane cast any day. Personally, I'm a fan of caucasian-but-tan Applejack, black Twilight, Celestia, and Luna, light but mixed race Pinkie, darker mixed race Rainbow Dash, caucasian Rarity, etc. Frankly, I view them all as mixed race XD.

I tend to let the coats guide me, but I sit well with most of it (though Celestia's coat is a little too white to see her as a black woman). Integrated ponies all the way!!!
