Going by this comic, and Sonic being his best buddy, he'd probably remind Sonic of the little threat Sonic said earlier to him just to remind him of the situation. Or he'd point out that angering and bossing around a someone a lot bigger than you isn't wise. Or he'd probably say if he keeps it up, Sonic can just go find Eggman to help him instead. That's what I'd think could happen going by the comics rules, boundaries, and type of humour I'd think.
