Say what you will, but most of what is Transformers today borrowed heavily from the GoBot series. I liked the idea of Leader-1 and Cy-Kill being allies before becoming nemeses, but that doesn't gel for me with Optimus Prime and Megatron.

I find interesting about Gyro Robo (Coptur) is that like his fellow 600 series Machine Robo toys is that they were based off of ideas that children had. It's interesting indeed

Cool stuff. I wish GoBots would get a reboot... the concept was pretty cool, but Hanna-Barbera's execution? Not so much.
Also, I think the toys looked better than the onscreen counterparts, unlike Transformers.

Looking up reference, I'm really noticing that the Tonka Gobots figures are not near as well made as Popy's original Machine Robo version.
