Description
form follows function business cardHere is my final business card template. I was considering adding color to the design, but the whole theme encompassing this card is that 'form follows function'. With this idea in mind, I wanted to utilize a bare-bone theme that completes the purpose of this card through graphic sophistication without doing too much graphically. My body of work should speak for itself, my whole style doesn't need to be present on my business card. My business card simply stands as a communication piece between designer and client.
I feel that this design compliments my style effectively and efficiently.

Very nice, I love the simplicity and lack of colors - the way to go when making a serious business card

its a real nice sleek design, it would be awesome if the card itself was made of plastic

You mentioned colour. The first thing that stood out to me is that it is so monochromatic, but the irony is that with so many other business cards being every shade of the rainbow, your black/white motif may standout the most after all.

I have another version that utilizes color on the back. Maybe I am having a hard time fabricating a brand for myself, but at this point in time I can't think of a color that would speak the most for my brand.
When money becomes a factor when having these printed, I don't want to back myself into a corner with a color that I will probably end up hating after two weeks of use.
That's why I would say I took the "safe route" when coming up with this design. I hope you're right about your comment, because that is what my initial plan was with this idea. Economy also plays a role as well.
Thanks for your feedback.

If form is following function here, is there a reason that the card is shaped the way it is?
