Perhaps stronger text for headings and a bit more attention to balanced spacing around the content.
For example, the margins on the left and right of the content box are far greater than the top and bottom margin. I'm not sure if this was your desired effect but personally I think it looks a bit squishy.
Other than that it's pretty good for someone who is new to web design, keep up the good work mate

Best Web Gallery is a site I check daily for updates and visit when I'm in need of inspiration
PSD Tuts is also a great site for ideas and tutorials.

Do a Google search for "css gallery" and you will find a bunch of websites dedicated to posting nice designs.
