This guy's heritage should be fairly self-evident. If it isn't, you have serious holes in your social responsibilities
Originally this was the 6 legged spider-tank from the final clash in the original GitS movie. It has been battletech'd. making it larger and with the setting appropriate number of limbs. If there was any doubt of it's sourcing, i made sure it was perched over a car with a pilot taking fashion tips from the majorwacom and ps over sktch

I love how you are doing exactly what FASA did and taking anime mecha or japanese inspired mecha designs and turning them into battletech. Hell yeah man you know exactly how to win!

There's a difference. FASA just outright copied the anime.
Matt Plog is taking inspiration from the anime, and then drawing something completely new that just so happens to heavily resemble the anime (if you squint a little), and actually stands on its own for looking good.

Agreed, Matt does a "hommage" instead of licensing other people´s stuff.
On this he had to skip on one pair of legs are BT only has 4 leg rules on BattleMechs.
But it is clear to see it´s the spider tank from Ghost in the Shell.
With this picture he legally transfered it to BT and it would be possible to use it. Well, not officielly legaly, i mean it BT construction rulewise.
