With the use of contracting myomer fibers as soon as the pilot triggers ejection the woven fibers, often backed with stiffer sections, snaps into place to immobilize the pilot's head for those crucial seconds of extreme stress.

was a really good idea on the part of the commissioner to use this piece of battletech technology in a nice lateral fashion.
