WHEW! I was worried for awhile there. Even if B-Tech slowed down their publishing apparatus (if that's even possible), I could get by on glimpses of just the Uber-mPLOG art. It's amazing that your stuff just tells its own story & gets the imagination going. I have PILES of record sheets from just trying to design 'Mechs to match your pics. Not that big a deal until you consider that I'm 43 years old and never played a role-playing game in my life. Ever. I just read the sourcebooks and stuff like they were novels. Hell, a couple years back I built my buddy a couple AR-15s for IPSC competition...although I didn't realize it at the time wouldja believe the one with the 18" is a dead-ringer for the FEDERATED LONG RIFLE and the 16" looks just the RORYNEX from that ancient (and decidedly unPLOGlike) 2750 TechBook. No comparison to your stuff you understand but...you feel me? You know the artist goes by the handle Shockwave? His page may as well be a "skunk works" for gun-nuts. Oops. Sidetracked.
Now that ShimmeringSword guy brought back the UNSEEN singlehandedly which is AWESOME, but just look at what you did when YOU tried your hand at Project Phoenix. THAT was art!!! I mean we know that worst case scenario is more Escher drawings like the stuff in the 3057 TechBook (BTW whatever they're paying you it ain't enough - you singlehandedly resuscitated the entire DROPSHIP and WARSHIP themes, think about it) - you sir are the best case scenario. And you even do fan-made TechBooks!!! I downloaded those off the internet ONLY because I found out that you did SOME of the art.
Anyway, wow, sorry for the ramble but I don't post comments all that often so I try to make them good. No constructive criticism obviously LOL. How about this? When you are on the scribbler, you make a quasi-hard sci-fi ROLE PLAYING GAME enjoyable to someone who doesn't play role playing games. Hated the Dark Age storyline at first...a little Pardoe or whoever and a BLOCK O' PLOG and I can't get enough. The art makes it. So keep making it. Please.

This is the longest comment I've ever seen on Plog's art. I'm not sure whether to be worried or surprised. Also, I'm familiar with both Shockwave and ACS (shimming sword). Known them a few years now.

I could love to see this firing all the missiles on all the sides at a target.Β But I can understand that it would make seeing the ship a bit difficult.Β

Very interesting, at short ranges she'll be murder, and she's got the thrust to get there. She'll take a hammering as she closes but that's SO many missiles!Β Nice design, nice background too!

Hm, with 1.5 mio. tons I find it weird to sell it as outguns everything it can't outrun and outruns everything it can't outgun. I would have understood the concept applied to a ~700k warship, but not one @ 1.5 mio. tons. With 1.5 mio. tons you can outgun everything canon, more or less even the Leviathans.

It'll lose in a fight with a Lev 2 or 3 from them having twice the armor. But the main thing, and I realize it's not explicitly mentioned in the headcanon fluff, I've been designing warships for the other great houses that are similarly powerful. FWL gets a carrier that holds 1000 ASF and makes the Thera an escort carrier by comparison, the Feddies get a solid mix of destroyers, cruisers and BBs, etc. I like working with the full range of 100k to 2,500k tons so this is really a mid-weight ship. Some of the other cruisers that don't spend so much tonnage on the engines can absolutely outgun it. So there are things that it cannot take on by itself and would want to GTFO from in the AU it's in. Probably will commission Plog to do more of them in the future cause he was awesome to work with.
