Description
Commissioned redraft of the Minotaur protomech.Β The idea being as they moved into more mass production, a lot of the more exotic features got eliminated or reduced.

If they'd gone THIS route with Protomechs I'd have willingly embraced them and used them fully. But never could stand the D&D-tech direction they chose instead.

Β A pity it ain't CGL commissioning these.... because the Protos need this desperately in canon. Β Also love how instead of being on the nose with the horns like the old pics, the cannons ARE the horns. Β THis one works real nice.

I also like these "production" versions of the protomechs. Making the "horns" out of the lasers is great. I've always felt the designs of the protomechs really didn't seem to match the design ascetics of the Clans. Some of the Clans, like the Hell Horses do have some "flash", but most deigns are more practical, then they are "fantastic". There may be some cosmetics, but not to the extreme that there were with the original protomech designs.Β
I really think all these redesigns are great.Β

I like the idea of removing the gawdy horns and such. Its a killing machine, doesn't need to look pretty, though that is a plus.
