So I have a question:

What is the story of the Guardsman? His origin? His life before he joined the Signless? His role in the revolution? What happened to him after the revolution against the Empress failed?

Born in a valley village (hence his name deriving from Dalton, meaning "from the valley" or so) that was raided by outlaws when he was little. 
He was found by Orphaner Duelscar who took pity on the young wriggler, realizing he had no psychic powers to harm him with (being one of the unlucky ones, and born without any). He took him under his wing, secretly, and became his mentor in combat, sailing, and survival.

It got killed after he and a group of resistance affiliated lowbloods were on the run from the royals. Until they got ambushed by a group of teal, cobalt, blue, and purple mercs.

After he left Orphaner with his permission he did become the head Footman guard of the Signless
Later he was captured alongside Psiioniic, who became the Helmsman. Dalltonn became the Guardsman for Dualscar again after he vouched for him.
