She actually became a model later on. It was a wedding present. This is the painting I did for her can be seen here [link] once again it was butterflied themed

yes she loves it and it is framed. She was also the model for the butterfly angel. My friend Steph is beautiful.

I will some day. Right now I have a book to finish. check it out. It is all magical creatures and friends of mine being painted as elves and fairies.

I am very glad everything in the painting came across. I not so happy with the figure because I feel like she is too stiff but I am happy with the painting all the same. It is because it was for someone I care for very deeply is why it came out so well. This painting was a gift for my friend who modeled for the butterfly angel painting I have in display at DA.

I am glad you like them. I have books and books on the tropical rain forest that have many references to butterflies

I fight with my color use a lot. I think it is because I illustrate children's books so I am inclined to use high saturation colors. but this one allowed be to use it with out fear. thanks for the comment. Sorry it took me so long.
