STORY TIME!----

So, I was playing D&D on Roll20 wednsday. it was a fun 3 hours, and the group was a laugh.

We were playing the Starter Set Campaign ' The Lost Mine of Phandelver' - I am playing a ranger.

Of the many funny things to happen, (including my first attack of the game being a Critical hit, with max damage, sending a goblin flying XD) this one part was just hilarious.

SPOILERS IF YOU HAVE NOT PLAYED THIS CAMPAIGN

So, we go to a cave where a goblin group are, We kill two who are on guard drinking around a fire.

One of the group kills a goblin with is sword, and goes in to the fire, later on inside the cave we find three hounds on chains; we want to calm them so I jokingly say well we have a goblin that should be cooked by now, and we all laugh, but we actually do it, one of the group goes all the way back out side, and returns with the crispy goblin arm/leg (I can't recall, we were all just laughing at it XD), after distracting the hounds we continue up, following the fast flowing river with several waterfalls, until we reach a fork. one leads up a steep and dangerous path, the other goes under a bridge, with a goblin guard.

They turn to me and say 'If you can take out that guard in one shot...' etc. all in fun, and I'm like 'Okay, lets do this'

I have initative, since I am hidden, but it was pointless as I roll a Critical! so I hit, roll for damage... MAXIMUM Damage!

So of course we are all happy about that! XD GM describes how the Arrow impacts the Goblin hard in the center mass, and I am 'Oh, he HAS to go off the bridge' and GM continues 'The goblin is pushed back to the edge, he stands for several moments his balance failing and a moment later he falls over the edge in to the water, the strong current floating him downstream and past the group.'

I of course say I pull my arrow from out of his back casually as he floats by and over the waterfalls and out of the cave.

I scout ahead, and see several more Goblins, so we decide to go up the dangerous incline, doing an athletics check (which one of us kept failing XD) to get up the two stages.

At the top, we face more goblins, I nearly die, so I jump back down the passage to the mid level, the battle continues, and the one I was fighting is finally killed and... he falls down the passage, sliding down it like a sled and SPLOOSH in to the water, and one of the group says 'Are we just gonna send all the bodies down river?' and I can't remember who said it, but someone joked about there being a poor fisherman down stream just seeing these bodies float by XD

and so I made this XD

We have to finish clearing the cave next session, so I may have more stories to add ^^

I enjoyed the session a lot, and there was so many funny things, I think we jelled quite well
