Raion

Abilities
As a samurai, Raion is very skilled at using the Samurai Saber Technique to enhance his swords with chakra and unleash arcs of chakra upon swinging his swords.

Due to Sasori's alterations, Raion has six mechanical puppet arms that enable him to wield six swords simultaneously. Wielding multiple swords provides him with an advantage in close combat as he is able to quickly overwhelm his opponents with flurry of sword strikes. In addition, Raion can swing his swords simultaneous to unleash a storm of chakra crescent arcs capable of slicing his targets to pieces.

Raion also occasionally wields a single giant sword which he holds with all six of his arms. By having multiple arms, Raion has multiple outlets to release his chakra from rather than just two hands. With his six arms, he is able to pour an excess amount of chakra into his giant blade in order to maximize the damage it is capable of. This enables him to slice through stronger defenses with relative ease. Raion is only able to maintain the chakra levels in the sword as long as all of his hands are holding the blade.

Background
Raion was once a proud samurai from the Land of Iron. As time went on and the world began replacing samurai with ninja, Raion grew infuriated with how his people were being viewed as outdated. In order to fight this revolution, Raion gathered many samurai who shared his frustration and organized a rebellion against the shinobi world. His group would attack shinobi villages and kill all the ninja in efforts to demonstrate the samurais' superiority. As he fought and killed ninja, Raion developed a habit of taking the headbands of the ninja he killed as trophies of his victories. The five nations retaliated by sending ninja out to eliminate Raion and his rebellion. After constant attacks by shinobi squads, all of Raion's allies were eventually killed until he was the only one left. With his rebellion ended, the lone samurai was forced to go into hiding and watch the shinobi world continue to grow.

Eventually, Raion was found by the Akatsuki who sought to use his skills to further their goals. Raion refused the invitation as he hated the idea of working alongside ninja. He then tried to kill the Akatsuki members but was defeated. The Akatsuki then promised him that if he assisted with their mission, the shinobi world would come to an end. Seeing as he had no choice after being defeated and interested in the idea of the shinobi being erased, Raion consented and joined to organization.

Frustrated by his defeat at the hands of the Akatsuki, Raion wished to find away to become stronger so he would not lose again. After meeting Sasori and learning his skills in puppet making, Raion requested the puppeteer to create for him six puppet arms such that he could wield six swords simultaneously. Sasori agreed and made the requested adjustments to Raion's body, which would serve as the basis for his new and improved fighting style.
