Well, if I had to guess, I would say Rebekka was the controlling type and Rena couldn't take it anymore and broke it off. That or she was overly Jealous over every girl Rena thought was 'cute' in some way or form and Rena decided that she couldn't be with someone who didn't trust her and left her. That makes sense to me anyway.
