There are things they actually SHARE (like NINDO and having an UNDESERVED bad childhood - clan's pressure for her and village's hatred for him), unlike with Sakura (who tried to force Naruto into BREAKING his promise and also had a NORMAL childhood, with petty problems any NORMAL child could have - mere forehead issues).

(I'm hope you looooool at what I'm about to say next this)
Why do people support NaruSaku so much, is it because of what Kushina said in the dreamscape? Its like NaruSaku's support children turning into their parents. XD XD

Well, most parents actually DO want their children to turn into mini-them.
Mostly to succeed in everything THEY had failed.
But this is extremely selfish and stupid to begin with.
As of NaruSaku.
This is even way more stupider, cause Sakura is as much "Kushina" as 9000 other Naruto females - she's NOT any closer to being a mini-Kushina than, dunno, Ino.
Cause MOST Naruto females have a BAD TEMPER to some degree to begin with - Sakura isn't UNIQUE at all in that.
And if they want to find *A* mini-Kushina - there's actually a MUCH CLOSER version, Karin.
Who shares NOT ONLY Kushina's TEMPER - but also her UNIQUE Uzumaki CHAKRA CHAINS.
Which is 9000% MORE of "being Kushina" than ANY other female in the series.
Go NaruKarin!!!

Hello Koshej remember me :3
If I remember correctly she didn't try to force anything, she wanted to RELEASE Naruto from the promise so he won't have this burden anymore (yes that's care for Naruto) and she wanted him to stop pursuing Sasuke and instead stay with her (again, care for Naruto). The problem is that she still wasn't in love with Naruto. Yet.
If that didn't work, then killing Sasuke herself so Naruto is released from the burden of this promise (again, care for Naruto).
Selfish much.

Koshej In reply to kick3r [2014-08-26 01:34:32 +0000 UTC]
And by "releasing" him from it, she was making TWO mistakes:
1. Assuming that HE only was doing it for HER - which he himself immediately said to be FALSE, cause he wanted to return Sasuke also for himself.
2. Even if he only was doing it for her, still his nindo (probably) implies that he can't break his own promises, regardless of anyone getting uninterested in the result.
But #1 is more important - Sakura was AGAIN only thinking of herself: not in a selfish way of "give me", but still in a selfish way of "who cares what you want, if I want otherwise".
That's still selfish, though in a better way.
Yet this is a very typical mistake that people who CARE do towards those they care about - to IMPOSE their own opinion on what is GOOD for them.
That's still over-posessive and self-centric (not exactly selfish, but still focuses on the wrong person).

Your welcome. You know what really bowlful's me about the whole NaruSaku thing? The lengths NaruSaku's argue about why it should be NaruSaku, because would they still be that supportive if Hinata was the main character and Sakura was the side character? Because I can't help but notice the two main reasons why people support NaruSaku is because they're main characters and it follows the tsundere couple dynamic.
Sakura does not love Naruto and there isn't a tsundere chemistry going on between them so why do NaruSaku's support it? They have a tsundere friendship, but that's about it. I'm hoping NaruSaku's mostly support that because they believe what they almost always do that in anime; main character tsundere couples. WHAT do you think? Do you think half of NaruSaku's support it out they belief they make a great couple OR because it's part of the anime norm and they don't "believe it" will be different?
Sorry to talk your ear off. Naruto ending 5 weeks is making me think really hard about stuff. I ask these questions because we seem to be very smart and wise about this topic

Um, I'll be openly RUDE (not to YOU, obviously).
I kinda think that a good 40-60% of NStards are exactly that - TARDS (read: reTARDS)...
The rest, I'd say 35% are too deep in the tsundere main TROPISM to realize that it simply doesn't APPLY here.
The rest 5% merely like them as a CRACK couple for some personal reasons (they simply like Sakura; they had a similar real life experience; something else, don't ask me, lol).

It's a literal shame that such a potentially cool fandom (aka NARUTO) has such retarded fans - and so MANY of them too...

1. I don't understand how her assuming that he did it only for her (he promised it to HER after all) is selfish. I just can't connect one to another. It's just natural assumption. But hey, Naruto had his own reasons as well (dem NaruSasu babies). She thought Naruto is doing it only for her since she didn't know that Naruto's affections were serious. Since Sai told her that Naruto REALLY loves her, she made an assumption that he's pursuing Sasuke for her.
2. Eh, she tried that's why she had her plan B!

1. And you just proved my major ANTI-NS point all over again: that Sakura knows zilch about Naruto's feelings and goals.
Thanks.
2. Tried WHAT?
I'm just saying that Sakura was imposing HER personal views onto Naruto (coupled with her entirely missing HIS view on the subject at the same time) - and that IS selfish in a way.
(That's a selfishness that comes from CARING, but it's still selfish by ignoring the other PERSON and their OWN goals. It's a pretty common parental real-life mistake too, btw. Like forcing someone into a specific learning field because the PARENT thinks of the subject as "beneficial", even if the CHILD might literally hate it.)
Hinata has never did anything like that.

1. I know someone else who is known for loving someone and this person is not knowing it... We just need Sasuke having a crush on Hinata and we have a perfect quartet :d
2. Kill Sasuke in order to stop Naruto from a pursue that would kill him in the process. If there was no Madara, there would be nothing for Sasuke and Naruto to team up against, which would mean they would just murder themselves. Sakura doesn't want that and I feel that Hinata would also try to stop them. And if this means tearing Naruto's feelings apart then be it. At least he would be safe... isn't that how would Hinata think?
And yes you're right. Hinata never did anything like that.

1. Not my point at all.
I'm saying that Sakura is NOT as "ah so close and understanding" to Naruto as NaruSakus try to imply.
She doesn't know him even to a degree of differentiating between him following HER wishes, and him doing it for HIMSELF.
2. Hinata would tell him directly to stop ruining his life by such a stupid goal (given that Hinata would find it stupid, which is a separate question altogether).
He obviously wouldn't listen - but he DIDN'T listen to Sakura either.
The difference?
Hinata would NOT play on his feelings OR lie to him.
Sakura DID BOTH.
Hinata never LIED to nor MANIPULATED Naruto, that's FOR SURE, yup.

She gave him at least THREE not-so-short speeches already (98, 437, 615), none of them being a lie or a way to manipulate him into anything (unless you assume that she manipulated him into not giving in to Obito, lol).

Koshej In reply to MattX125 [2014-02-22 17:55:24 +0000 UTC]
Some say she's just making really stupid mistakes, one of which was her being ready to literally be hated by Naruto for her Failfession.
I'm not that negative about her, but she definitely has some flaws that SHOULDN'T be there.
But when I encounter definitely stupid accusations that Hinata was being selfish during Pain...
Oh, boy - I'm so sending a response wave about Sakura...

I don't know what you mean by stupid selfish accusations about Hinata and Pain, but at least you disagree with whatever that is.
Sakura's selfish moments:
"Asking Naruto a once in a lifetime request to save a boy she's loves, from the BOY who likes the Sakura, From the GIRL who doesn't like him back." (ouch...) (The episode when Sasuke left the village)
"Telling Naruto to break a promise, selfishly protecting herself from something Sakura should more truthful from the start" (The false-confession episode)
"When Naruto returned to the village for the first time in 2 and a half years, and asked Sakura to join him for ramen after becoming Team Kakishi, she said no. And then felt guilty eating a dessert by herself, and then ordered another dessert to make her feel better."
"In the beginning of the Road to Ninja movie, she wanted to get out of her house and away from her family, and USED Naruto has an escape and called it a DATE. To say nothing of talking about her negative feelings about family, something that makes both Naruto and Sasuke blood boil.
And I could go on and on, but I think you see my point by now? Right?

1. PoaL was more like childish, though you are right as well.
Which is why I love Hinata so much - she NEVER asked anything from Naruto, not even with her confession.
2. Whereas Sakura did the whole Failfession just to manipulate Naruto into something.
Even IF we give her the biggest benefit of the doubt and say that she did it 100% out of concern for Naruto - she STILL hurt his feelings.
Which was 100% UNNEEDED anyways.
So - FAIL.
3. I don't recall it, might be FILLER.
Do you remember what episode (or maybe chapter)???
4. Movies are 9000% FILLER.
And RTN is anything but pro-NaruSaku, lol.
It's more like anti-Sakura.
5. I'm not sure if there's much to add here - but I don't see much that could COUNTER it either.

I DIDN'T watch the entire Shippuden, especially the beginning, so I dunno which it was.
I am up-to-date on MANGA, though.

EXTREME FILLER.
Manga goes from HERE:
www.mangapanda.com/93-252-3/na…
...till HERE:
www.mangapanda.com/93-252-7/na…
...and then goes ALL Gaara ONLY and finally goes straight to HERE:
www.mangapanda.com/93-253-13/n…
...and immediately returns to Gaara.
No Sakura in-between.
And NO Naruto talking OR thinking OF Sakura either.
