Chapter 7- It Started Before They Knew

She's beautiful and cunning too.....guess that's why I love her

"It's hard for me to walk away from her...what should I do?" I muttered while running around the track during PE.

"I don't know! How about asking her to the dance?" Emerald shouted. "I mean come on! It's obvious you two are in love with each other.

"Dance? What dance!?" I asked him. For one thing, I didn't know there was a dance and two, I'm not entirely sure if Blue would even go with me.

"Yeah. They said the dance comes for every new year here at the Academy. You going?" Emerald asked and stopped running.

I stopped as well and panted for air, "Yeah...and I think I know who to go with." I said smiling lightly.

"As long as it's not Crystal then I'm fine." Emerald interrupted.

I blinked at the boy much smaller than me,"Oh I get it..." I smirked. I knew Emerald was protective over Crystal. He doesn't trust Gold especially and I can see why. "Don't worry. Crystal is just a friend to me. But Blue..." I flashed Emerald a smile and put my thumb up, "She's really got my heart beating!"

In Blue,Yellow,and Teo's dorm...

"Oh Blue! Are you going to the dance? You so should!! I'm going with Ruby!!" Sapphire threw her comments out at Blue.

"Yes Yes Sapph! I can tell you're excited to go to the dance! But...I don't know if I'm going..." Blue looked down at the ground.

"Oh Blue come on...it's obvious who you wanna go with" Sapphire looked at her friend with a sly smile.

Blue blushed and looked away, "W-Well what if he doesn't...want to go with me..."

"Oh he will. Trust me" Sapphire smirked and took out my pokegear number.

"How did you get this?" Blue questioned,not being the thief for once.

"Well..." Sapphire smiled.

*flashback*
Sapphire slammed me against my locker and looked me dead in the eyes, "Okay Teo! I want your pokegear number and id, and I want it now!" She yelled at me.
*end*

"I have my ways" She finished with a grin.

"Oh you're becoming like me already" Blue smirked.

"Okay....I can do this. Blue...will you go to the dance with me..." I kept repeating this over and over for the sheer fact I wanted her to go with me. That and she gets me really nervous. I reached to my neck and touched the hickey she had left. Ugh. Still there. I reached our dorm and gulped. Yellow had told me no one was there but Blue.

On the other side, Blue was anxiously walking back and forth. "Okay! I got this!" She turned around and held the door knob. "I'll just say it like he's in front of me!" Blue muttered to herself in encouragement.

I took a step forward and didn't even see Blue in front of me.

"Will you go to the dance with me?!"

The two us had our eyes shut and then we realized the silence that grew. We both slowly opened our eyes and looked at each other. Her eyes were shining from the lights in the room and mine we're probably looking more nervous than ever. I opened my mouth to speak first but of course she would speak at the same time I did.

"You?!"
"Yes you!"
"Me!?"
"Oh would you stop!"

The both of us crossed our arms and looked away in disgust.

"So..." I finally broke the silence between us. "You wanna go with me?"

"Fine...but you better not make such a big fuss about it-" She began.

Too late.

"Awesome! I'll see you there then!" I quickly kissed her cheek without even thinking and ran off to go tell all the guys.

Blue lightly touched her cheek and smiled, "Teo...you moron" She said and blushed lightly. And this all started before we even knew how we felt about each other.
