This is the pic from the "Aya" series that I'll use for the Japan Society Yearbook...This is Aya outside Selfridges in the Bullring, Birmingham. It's such a beautiful and unusual building - and Aya's favourite place to shop (her favourite hobby!) in Birmingham.

wonderful picture, i'm really impressed... there isn't even one straight line here, every single line is curved *wich i love* ... the tones are perfect, the model is beautiful and her expression is priceless (mmm.. where i heard that? ).

thanks - i agree...i really do think it's the best portrait I've ever taken (it's like one of those epic moments for me!)

that *is* a very unusual-looking building. I like the clouds but I think you should crop some off the left... or add more to the right... I think cos she's looking to the right she needs to be a bit more to the left in the pic.

looks beautiful with that sky . the cloud on her right side and the building on the other makes it realy great . and her expression is perfect for this setting .

thanks you...she was sooo good - she made it much easier to take the pictures
I used an orange filter on b&w film...i was really pleased with effect it gave in the sky
