Lightsaber Collection 01 for Daz Studio - Click on the download button - 31MB

All models have been set up for use in Daz Studio with Iray materials and emissive saber blades. There are three ways to load the models into the scene. There are presets for Genesis 3 & 8, Male and Female with will load directly into the left or right hands of the characters. The Genesis 8 presets are compatible with Genesis 8.1. There are presets designed to work with the Universal Weapons Prop and Poses set, allowing you to load the lightsabers directly to the Universal Weapons Prop, when selected. And then there are the load at zero presets that will just drop the lightsaber at the center of the scene. There is also Iray material presets to restore the original material setup of each lightsaber and blade color. There are 8 different emissive blade colors and 8 Bloom level settings to help adjust the look of the lightsaber effect, depending on their distance from the camera. Close ups should use higher values but then lower it, as you move away from the lightsaber.

UPDATE - 2021-07-09: The left and right hand wearable presets have been updated due to a slight issue where the blades were not scaling at all. This fix however brings one issue back, wearable presets do not exceed a figures pose limits, even if you have Daz Studio set to ignor limits. What this means is that when you load one of the wearable presets in this set, the hand pose may not look right UNLESS your figure already has limits turned off, on all of the finger nodes.

UPDATE - 2021-07-18: Added Darth Mauls half lightsaber from the Phantom Menance. It uses the same mat file as the full staff version.

This collection of lightsaber models is made possible by the generosity of the individuals listed below, who modeled the lightsabers and permitted them to be redistributed freely, and to have derivatives made, under the licenses listed. Please remember to attribute the individual who modeled the lightsabers when you use these as that is part of the license.

My contribution to this set are the lightsaber blades for all the lightsabers plus the d-rings on the Ahsoka Tano Rebels sabers. Also, all the DUF files and their associated PNG files were also created by me for this set. To keep inline with the other licenses, I am releasing these meshes, the DUF and PNG files under the Creative Commons - Attribution - Non-Commercial license: creativecommons.org/licenses/b… - I have removed any lightsaber blade that came with the models in favor of my own for consistency and ease of use.

Only edit to the mesh was to remove one of the belt clip nobs and fill in the spot where it would go on the outer emitter.

* Please do not print from my copy of the model, for best results, print from the original.

I am looking to do a second set or more, I need to go over what I have to see what else can be converted. All additional sets, if i manage to make them, will merge into this set as there is no reason to duplicate the blade materials and the bloom settings over and over.
