Amazing
The rocks and the achromatic scenery add a sense of desolation.

The final book (in fact it was a scroll but whatever) in the Bible is called Revelations or the Apocalypse in Greek. I'm not religious but it just felt like it fit.Β

This will probably be a silly question, but did you achieve this with film-based photography or digital?Β And if film, what format?Β medium- or large-format?
It immediately reminded me of Ansel Adams, his Zone System, and his definition of the "fine print."Β Excellent work!

If, in the future, you do find the time to work with film, for photographs of this genre you may want to experiment with a developer called "PMK."Β This was developed (no pun intended) by Gordon Hutchings as a worthy successor to the classic ABC Pyrogallol.Β It produces the same desired pyro staining as ABC but is much more stable to work with.Β When printed on multi-contrast warm-tone paper (and toned in selenium) the results can be mind-blowing, as the stain will tend to decrease contrast in the higher values while maintaining full separation in the lower ones.
Also, if you are not familiar with them, the Photographer's Formulary is the go-to place alternative photographic processes and chemistries.Β I shop there for the bulk of my chemicals.Β They offer convenient pre-mixed chemistries, as well as bulk chemicals if you wish to measure and mix from your own formulas.
Here's a link to their PMK offering:Β stores.photoformulary.com/pmk-β¦
