Description
Another art challenge by , , and !For each challenge we interchangeably give ourselves an idea or topic to illustrate and a short, specified time to execute it in whatever shape or form... of course, without knowing what the others are going to come up with.
This week's topic is maudt 's idea: Dying Earth. Exploring the motifs of death, decay and the ecological disaster that is the state of our planet.
My topic this time. First of all: my anatomical inaptitude makes me make a mass even when using references very closely, so nevermind that.
The message? Well, I have been recently more and more interested in the ecological and health impact of food. People have little to no idea how much agriculture is affecting the planet (confinement animal husbandry, GMOs, extensive pesticide use- I'm looking at you)... it's really a terrible, terrible mess. Get informed, vote with your forks!

funny thing, that people can came up with similar picture ideas, when thinking about a specific theme^^
I like that picture and wished my own picture with that theme had looked like that

That is a bleak but very well executed picture - strong, powerful, scary.
Well done!
Although Daekasu's idea is the most striking, this somber pic is powerful in its own ways - well done!

Beautiful way to approach the subject! I love the color theme you chose for this painting, as well as the perspective and the pose.

Sadly, this is probably where we're heading. We are our own planet's worst enemy.

I saw this and the first thing that popped into my head was "Look what you've done." magnificent.

Thanks!
Well, the saddest part is that it's not her fault as such, the future generations will have to deal with the mess we're creating. The poor and people in developing countries are already struggling with the consequences.
Although we all clearly share some responsibility, which is why I'm a big advocate of really getting informed about food and how it affects the world.

Yep, very true. Though I pictured it more as something she would be saying to us, not the other way around?

I have to say I am partial to daekazu's version, but yours is also very evocative.

That's the beauty of these challenges, everybody has their own unique way of interpreting the same topic.
Thanks!

Wow...
I love how intensely dark this whole piece is. It really gets across the sense of despair--you can feel the loss involved. It's not so much what you included in the picture, but what's clearly missing. The emptiness makes the subject look both alone and insignificant. Well done!

Thanks, I'm glad I got my point accross To be honest I was planning to make the background more complex (a supermarket parking lot, just to make my point clearer
), but I have only so much time...

This is very intense. The dark colors and lighting used give it a horrific feeling that is very creepy. Well done!
