OK...*deep breath* I've wanted to draw this picture for a long time...I'm a HUGE fan of Link X Midna...Twilight Princess just pulled at my heartstrings...the two are such an odd pair but their affection (be it romantic or friendship) for each other is so touching and sad...because they both know deep down they can't ever be together.....anyway, this pic is inspired by my great love for the game and these two characters, and by this song by Amy Grant.~Cry A River~

^__^ Your heartfelt inspiration for this piece, and the lovely piece you've done here, really make me want to play the game. More than I have ever felt so far. Yes! ^^ When I get back from my mission, it will be one of the things I have to get. Who knows, maybe the price will have lowered? :: crosses fingers :: ^_^
I love, just love, the coloring for Link's hair here, and the dark outfit Midna wears that entangles them both. Hmm. I've never pictured Link all that "together" with any of the girls he meets, but I must say I always enjoy his varied dynamics with the different girls. ^^ Like the Zora girl from Ocarina of Time... what was her name... I could *never* see them together, but they would be a whole lot of fun to watch hanging out together, you know? ^_^
I believe Midna must be like that, too... whatever you get out of it, it's so enjoyable to see it through the game.

I have to admit I never really pictured Link with any of the girls from the games because he always seems to be so focused on what he's doing that he doesn't think about romance...I felt that way until THIS game...Midna and he have a very special friendship/relationship...and it's obvious Link reallyer cares for her and worries about her (after their original animosity...they don't seem to get along well at first...) toward the end of the game you're cheering them on...you really want something to happen between them...that's how I felt anyway...plus Midna is not a helpess heroine...and she's not all sweet and perfect....she's got attitude...not to mention devatstating power...which you wouldn't expect from her "impish" form...then Nintendo shocks you with her true form later on which is gorgeous!
She's seriously my favorite female Zelda character...followed at a distance by Tetra. Just such a good game...and I'm glad I've inspired you to play it because it's a MUST play for any Zelda fan...
I feel this is probably my most emotional piece ever, even though I liked "Death of a Nobody" I don't think I was as emotionally connected to the characters as I am here...I love Link...*sighs* He's a great character...selfless and heroic!

Well...it's hard. I have a really hard time with it, honestly...This ended up more like kiss/nuzzle...I don't know...it's tough...and it takes practice. I'm still never quite happy with how it turns out but I like this one...

If you can manage to draw profile shots, draw profiles of each of them opposing each other...that can help you see how to fit it all together when you actually draw your finished product.
