Yeah like others have said already, and really not trying to sound rude as I really do love this series, instead of just choosing the first translation that comes along maybe converse with a group and decide on which translation is best. I only suggest this because all the previous translations for this series were great outside of maybe 1 or 2 mistakes. But this? This was hard to read at times and if not for the pictures to go with it would have been unreadable at certain parts. Whom ever you chose the first couple translations from with previous chapters, might I suggest you go back to using that person?

I don't know how you translate the comics, and I can't exactly hold it against you (nor would I if I could), but there are tons of grammar mistakes everywhere that really bug me! I don't know how you do your translating, but maybe you should have someone pre-read it first or something so that you don't get swarmed by grammar nazis. Again, not trying to be rude, or insult anyone, but I'm just throwing this out there.

I don't mean to sound rude, and I'm not claiming that mine's the best or anything, but I actually put some effort into not only being as accurate as possible in my translation, but also making it sound natural and conversational so that you wouldn't think it's a translation of another language when reading through it. I salute gugorrak for beating me to the punch this time, but it may be time to try another method of choosing an English translation for the next one. Your work deserves it.

I can read Spanish well enough to get the general idea of each line in the first version, so after reading the translation I noticed something neat; when hayseed describes people as differing by skin color -OR- by being occidental or oriental. I had to look up occidental. I've lived in the states my whole life and never once heard it used. When I tried to think of a more pleasing synonym the first thing that came to mind was 'white'. Most Americans probably wouldn't even think to separate a persons region from their race when generalizing about unspecified people the way Hayseed was. Funny how language can effect how we think as much as what we think.
