Apologies for the crappishness... I kinda rushed and I sock at special fx.
This is Emily Cavanaugh Gracey... the "Beating Heart Bride" that used to be in the attic of the Haunted Mansion... until Constance kicked her out... *grumbles*
She was there until 2006.

Spooktacular! I love the hair and the eyes. Poor Emily's always going to have a place in my heart. I'll miss her. (I think she's still in the Tokyo Disneyland Haunted Mansion.)

Emily is special to me, too. Even though the ride scared me when I was little, I remembered her and always felt bad for her because she looked lonely. And I did watch a ride-through of the Tokyo haunted mansion and she was there! Do you know if she's in orlando or did they change that one too?

Connie's taken over in the Orlando HM, too. I have mixed feelings on her. She's a neat character, but at the same time, I do miss that spooky, yet lovely, beating heart bride. There's something to be said for the Constance effect, and it's pretty well done. (At WDW--Orlando--though, there's this weird issue with the projection used. Like, I see her face move as if she's turning her head, but of course the head and neck itself doesn't move, so the anatomy looks screwey to me. I've heard DL in Cali doesn't have this problem. I can ignore it, though. Just one of those nit-picky, paying too much attention to detail, things. 
I remember one of the first times I went on the Mansion, it was when they still had the no-face, yellow eyed bride. (Yep, even Emily took her spot from someone else. Connie may have to watch her back!) She creeped me out, and I used to call her Bloody Mary.
I like all three attic brides, but it's been tough warming up to Constance, I admit. Guess it's just hard for me to deal with change when it comes to the Mansion's characters.
Emmy's still there... Waiting to pounce...

Emily didn't take her spot from anyone. She was the original. She just hid her face, because she was terribly shy and someone worth taking a liking to. Unfortunately, she was killed by her love in a fit of rage, leaving her forever without her happy ending and the Master, in his greif over what he had done, killed himself by hanging himself over the rafters.

Yeah. Another version is called NUPTIAL DOOM and is ironically told by Constance's voice actor [ [link] & [link] & [link] ]. In that, broken-hearted Emily killed herself after her father told her that her love died at sea when he really didn't. Following her death, the Master borded up the Mansion, went crazy, and hanged himself. In another version, it is Madame Leota who places Emily in the attic truck, hoping to suffocate the competition, seeing as the seer wanted the Master for herself.

I love to hear any Mansion tales, and I never got the chance to hear Nuptial Doom when it first came out. Thanks for the links!
One thing I love about the HM is that you can use your imagination and come up with any story you'd like. It's easy to have a lot of fun with the "folklore."
