You know, I'm beginning to think I might have a talent for this coloring stuff.

I have to thank *jollyjack for giving me permission to color his piece Strumpet Snatcher [link]

Something about it just lept out at me and said "You gotta color this." I had a color scheme in mind immediately, and it went together in only a few hours. Although given my work habits, this was spread out over a couple of days.

I wasn't sure if I should have even tried to do anything with the background. I'm not up to drawing Victorian England, and a wall of fire would have added all kinds of lighting problems.

Some of the shading is a bit more subtle than I intended, like in her hair and face, but I'm really, really pleased with the villain, and the robot just blew me away (Originally he was going to be a little lighter, but I created a mask layer to help with selections, and it looked better darker.) I also darkened the ink lines simply by making a second copy of them, also set on multiply. I'm still not 100% sure that works. Maybe I should have made it 50% opaque.

And I figured *rabidgundam would like her as a red-haired Irish girl.
