Emil again...Now he can freak you out....IN COLOR!!!I had a black&white one and finally got to coloring it (sorry innervisionary...I remember you asked me a while back if I was going to color this and I totally forgot about it x_X; )

Sort of odd, but very well painted. The painterly style you have is nice, and the hair and skin have a lot of volume.

Bah, crazy girl. You have wonderful talent. I wish I could have the creativity to put together compositions like you do (instead of drawing disembodied heads on white space...like I usually do TT^TT).

I used to have OpenCanvas, but something was wrong with it. It kept shutting down on me in every 2 minutes. But it's quite the similar with Photoshop. I just cannot figure out how to do stuff still. Well, I'm trying to work on my way. But I can never be good as you are. Your stuff looks like oil-paintings, mine's look cartoonish.

Oh nonsense. I've seen a lot of artists progress from much lesser talent than yours to really awesome stuff. You have a lot of hope if you remind yourself that you could always get better.
...and...I don't really want them to look like oil paintings. My mouse just forces me to use short strokes when painting...if I do longer strokes I'd probably self-inflict my wrist with tendonitis TT_TT.

I hear Painter usually comes with a Wacom tablet if you buy one, so that's a nice deal. And if you don't have OpenCanvas, you can find OC1.0 for free off the internet

Well, the tablet comes with a free Painter...or something like that ^_^. I guess you can look at it that way. Either way, if you feel guilty for paying $200 for a Wacom, you can always tell yourself "but I'm also paying for a really awesome painting program!" and you won't feel so guilty any more
