Definitely macabre... I'm not sure I want to know what/who is behind the mask.
I think an eye, or the suggestion of one, might make this a more emotional piece. The glass hints at one, but it's hard to empathize with just that... Maybe that's not what you intended, but, just a suggestion.

This was not made to be an emotional piece. It's made to look creepy. I tried several eyes and removed them because the lack of one gives the thing a inhuman look.

I wondered if that was what you were going for. I was almost looking for a human (or rather, a person,) behind the mask. It's definitely creepy, but I've always loved the creepy pieces that at the same time make you question your disgust and look deeper. Whatever. Kudos, all the same.
