Finally finished this damn thing.Name: Janus
Alias: N/A
Age: Who knows. He's undead so he really doesn't count his age.
Birthdate: March 22
Gender: Male
Species: Zombie
Other: Janus is a Body Snatcher. Along with his twin brother Andro(fc03.deviantart.net/fs25/f/200… ) they were set forth the task of constructing two bodies that were identical to the others by taking parts from living beings and putting them together. Sounds easy enough right? Haha, well not really. Especially since Janus is all about his looks and appearance and Andro is the type of guy who would kill someone and then have fun rolling around in the blood puddles he's formed out of them. Their opposite personalities and slight distaste for the other's styles makes it extremely hard for them to agree on a lot of thing used to construct their bodies. So until they can agree on more than one feature that they can share, this task of theirs is at a stand still. Oh well, atleast killing the innocent living peoples is fun.

Okay, been slaving over this for a couple days now on and off and trying as fast as I could to get it done. This bloody guy gets so hard to draw when you have to draw him like a million times in a row. It's slightly rushed but I hope you all can still get the jist of him from it.
Also, if the wire thing doesn't make sense to you.. have you ever seen that movie Ghost ship? That beginning scene where they're all dancing on the top of the boat and the wire breaks? yeah, something like that.

It's a little gory so watch at your own risk. It's probably one of my favorite movie scenes though. -wonders what that says about me.-

A long overdue comment about how much I love this character sheet. Not only do you have some amazing expressions that display a variety of different emotions but your brief descriptions make it more vibrant and really bring Janus to life. I can very easily picture how an encounter in a nightclub with him might go: one person thinking, "Nice pants, I wonder how long it'll take me to get him out of them," and Janus thinking, "Nice skin, I wonder how long it'll take me to get me into it."

You obviously did not copy me but it makes me feel a little less original...I've never really encountereda design that in the least bit looked like one of mine... I may need to work on Reco's design a bit more to make him more unique.
The colors are nice and the design is unique. I'd think the body would be a little more varied considering he has taken parts of different bodies. But I assume this is because he is a perfectionist to look good.

So.. looking through your gallery and finding this character of which you speak, I have to say that I really don't see the similarities at all. O.o; I honestly think you are simply nitpicking about little things that you can't even say yourself are one in a million traits to a character design.

Characters have been pumped out of minds for decades now, no one can really expect to have a design that is 100% unique to them, any artist should realize this. If you find your design is lacking in the creative department then you have every rite as it's creator to give it an even more amazing design that you think satisfies your creative needs. But you should never be surprised to see similarities, especially on such a small scale, from your designs in others unless it is plain as day that they referenced your work. Everyone encounters it as we have the option to be inspired by those same things our peers are. Just food for thought, I suppose. (:
Thank you though, and yes the likeness in skin tones would come from his need to get only what he feels are the best pieces of flesh. And somewhat matching at that lol. I hope you have fun designing a character that suits your artistic needs though if you do plan to change him. Thanks for the comment. ^^

That made me laugh quite a bit...guess I kinda sound like that.
I've just been moody all day. For some personal reasons and just plain stupid reasons. I didn't really mean to sound like I had a problem with what I saw as similarities. But when everything is driving you crazy it is a bit difficult to sound calm.
I'm aware it is pretty much impossible to create a 100% unique design. There are so many characters out there most ideas have been burnt out. And I'm always changing my characters usually out of boredom or just the need to create something better looking without spitting out a million more characters. Names become a bit of a problem after about 50 or so..
I really like the concept of body snatchers by the way. But it does confuse me why they set out to make two identical bodies. What is the purpose for it? The design overall is incredible and I like the detail to his personality.
Also if you don't mind sharing...what is the secret behind good coloring? I think my art would look so much better if I could just color like some of you more popular artists out there. I can't even get a single commission. I'm not sure if it is the lack of coloring skill, the lack of talent in art at all, or just that I was inactive for such a long while all my old watchers forgot about me.
And no problem for the comment. Your art is amazing I'm just sorry that the first bit of the comment was so....well....I don't know how to describe it....I guess whiney and unpleasant?

Oh god, I've been looking at Janus like forever now. Can stare on this sheet for hours but first now I realized I never faved this beautiful piece of art, that'll be the first thing to do after this comment. I really like the combination of blue and grey, it's a wonderful color scale. Then there's the hair, keep on making it look that wonderfully crazy! It fits the dear boy a lot, seriously. He's so smexy running around in only jeans, if it wan't because of the spike bones, the metal wire and his adorable sharp teeth he would get a big hug from me. This is just zombies when they're best and I admire your skills and talent. Cookies for your good work! *throws*

I have to say that this character is pretty freakin fantastic. 
His expressions are awesome, and (after watching that little clippy) i could imagine him chopping people to little bits and pieces. My favorite is the large pic of his head, and the one where he's holding the wire.

I like the first line. 'Hair is crazeh, but he luvs it. Janus is all about making himself look good and memorable.' AS IF A WALKING TALKING, BLUE HAIRED ZOMBIE WITH BONE SPIKES AND A MULTIPLE PIERCINGS REALLY NEEDS A FUNKY DOO TO STAND OUT! XD
