I don't know it this was your intention, but this monster here almost reminds me of one of those ' Japanese mask monsters ' that show up in various animes.

I draw in just any art store bought sketchbook. I use a 0.5 mechanical pencil with B lead, a kneaded eraser and a paper towel for blending. I keep it pretty simple
