Description
For my thesis, I've decided to do several story related images revolving around the pictures of the otter family I have in my gallery. Being such, I'll be working on reference sheets for them for my illustration assignments this semester, as well as a few pieces of the environment they live in.

Here is the first of the batch. I hope to at least finish sheets for each of the 4 otter siblings. This is Thomas, the oldest son. I've tried to depict him as being somewhere between the ages of 12-15, and is stuck in that awkward stage between being a teenager and child. He does his best to take the lead and be a good, mature older brother, but he often, under the pressure of his younger siblings antics, falls back to that childlike state of mind. When he's not tied up in the mischievousness of his brothers and sister, he enjoys a quiet day of fishing and often accompanies his father Jonas, an angler by trade, on boating trips. He aspires to become a seafarer when he's grown and to travel where the wind may carry his sails.
