So, yeah. It’s that time of the year again. The time of the year where Lisa, the midriff-exhibiting blonde, does her thing. Is it cheating to change her pose this much? Maybe. But I like it like this.

I kinda fear that I’m becoming stagnant with regards to improvement. Or, sorry, not stagnant. Stagnant sounds too harsh. I’m decelerating. Yes. That’s a better description. Like, I look at my previous draw-this-again drawings, and I look at this and think “Huh… is that it? Did I forget something?” Although, if you think about it, that deceleration might be inevitable at some point. Like, as you get better, drawing mistakes ought to become few and far between, so it will go from being a game of “make fewer of the bad parts” to a game of “make more of the good parts and make the good parts better”, which is a game where the rules a lot less clear.

Or I could be entirely wrong on this. If there’s one thing that I know about my judgement of my own art, then that is that it is less than good. (The judgement, that is. Not the art itself)

Coincidentally, this just so happens to match one of DetachedPeople’s monthly themes, which is “the middle”, so that’s pretty neat. #DPJune2018
