I'm a huge fan of the old school science fiction/space artists such as John Harris and the late John Berkey. I did a quick "study" of the background in Berkey's Space Station . While their traditional paintings don't exactly achieve the same level of photo-realism and details we see in modern science fiction art, there is certainly an epic feel and charm to their work that even to this day is unmatched, and in my opinion, their work is still the most inspiring in the genre.

Wallpaper available for download. Sorry, but I worked in a non-conventional aspect ratio and cropping the image for other sizes wouldn't look good. Try to fit it to your monitor.
