Thanks, my friend! The small stars are a brush. The big flares were made in a separate file as aΒ single star, imported, duplicated and resized. Suppose I could have made a brush out of it, but I wanted multi-coloured diffraction spikes, which are barely visible in this due to the many linear dodge layers.

Ahh, my mistake. I don't have the patience to make stars with diffraction spikes, my attempts never looked right and I left it alone in frustration. Perhaps you can teach me? They look wonderful nevertheless!Β
