Edit: I corrected the position of the planet and the rings. The planet was not central to the position of the rings. I used a guide this time.
My latest effort! I made a new planet texture using about 9 desert images from Nasa. I also made some rings. I felt I needed to incorporate some other celestial elements into my Spaceart. I've experimented with several ways of making rings in the past, but never included any in my previous works.
I've made the rings available for other people to use. You can find them in in my new Resources folder, or simply click the link below.

I haven't got time to thank people individually for faves, they are all appreciated, as are any comments/critiques.

Cool. Maybe you shouldn't have cut the lower side of the planet.

I've put the lower side of the planet back as I had to go back and correct the position of the planet in relation to the rings.

Thank you. Every time I watched your image, my eyes wandered to the incomplete bottom. Now it looks a lot more harmonic.

Ha ha ha. Thanks, man. I just blend several Nasa images. The rest involves duplicating the land layers, using blending modes, and adding a photo filter. Applying the image and experimenting with blending modes and photo filters can really improve the texture of a planet.

Do you use visible earth for that? I never find any nice images there, mostly it's just weather and stuff like that.

Yes, I use Visible Earth. There are a few decent images on there, which you can use to create a variety of planet surfaces. Try looking through this section visibleearth.nasa.gov/view_cat… . I recently created this desert texture fav.me/d6ys7cm using nine images from this category.
