This was made entirely in Adobe Illustrator. I started off by using the Pen tool to create Ricky's outline. I then placed an image of an electric guitar, put it in another layer, and traced it in the outline layer with the Pen tool. I also used the shape tool for some things like Ricky's eyes and a few spots on the guitar.

I then created a new layer, where I added color with the Pen tool. There was a section on the guitar where I used gradient color. It sounds pretty difficult, but tracing the outlines for the guitar was actually pretty difficult, especially the strings. I used the Eyedropper a few times to get colors for the guitar, but I mostly used original color. The original photo the guitar was of a black and white guitar, but I the guitar I made is gold and black.

I created this to use as a transitional image, an eyecatch, in a YouTube video I'm planning.

(Update 2024: I apparently never made that video, and I can't even remember what it was supposed to be.)
