Gurren Lagann is the anime that ended the era of angst that Evangelion caused, and made giant robots just cool, not dramatic.

Thanks dude! Smaller suit mechs were originally in my plan, but then I realized I had about 30 movies and that would be ridiculous. Wish I could have included mech suits from Aliens, District 9, Avatar, Innerspace, etc.Β

Those are some badass mechs! Very similar to the ones in the movie. I didn't know the game (I actually don't play video games, shh, don't tell anyone) but I appreciate the info. Always good to get the 411 on some awesome-ass mechs! Β

Gotta be honest, I had never heard of Gurren Lagann before you mentioned it, but after looking at it briefly it looks crazy and I can't wait to watch an episode or two. There were quite a few Japanese mechs I left out for redundancy purposes, most heartbreakingly for me being The Big O. Thanks for the recommend!
