We all know what trolls are like. They're practically always these giant, humanoid, feral creature. Not too bright and some turn to stone in the sun. They are strong, warriors.

This is a pixie troll, however. They are small, tiny even, still humanoid and feral, still somewhat thick and they have a strong aversion toward the sun, making them nocturnal. The biggest difference is that these are always in a good mood and enjoy tricking people, animals and even each other.
During the day they sleep in whichever safe hole they can find but at night, when the moon is at it's highest, they come out of their hiding space. Their main diet consists of small insects, fruit and they tend to steal food from people. They rummage through trash and sometimes, if they're brave enough, they sneak into your kitchen and eat whatever they can find there.
If you leave food for them, with a little note, they'll give you presents. Pretty flowers, seashells, rocks, ... anything they deem valuable.
They are solitary creatures, only getting together to mate, after a battle in trickery between the males for the favour of the female.

Anyway, I wanted to experiment more with the lineart and lighting in this one, and I've learned that this way is definitely NOT the way to go. In the end I had about 200 layers and Photoshop just can't handle that. So I'll need to find another way to do it. :3

I hope next drawing will go quicker, tho... XD
