Wow, that's really fantastic. My one suggestion would be to change the black outline and facial features to a darker version of the blue and green you used for the body. This gives the emote a more rounded, 3D effect.
Along those same lines, you could try using slightly more extreme shades of the colors for highlights and lowlights. Here's a great tutorial on shading styles from a pioneer of the genre: [link]
