Pepe Le Pew has recently been subjected to controversy for sexually aggressive antics that have been compared to sexual harassment ever since New York Times columnist Charles M. Blow accused the character of promoting rape culture. This led to the March 7 announcement that Pepe Le Pew has been removed from the 2021 film Space Jam: A New Legacy. Warner plans no future appearances of the character in subsequent Looney Tunes media.

Goodbye, Pepe Le Pew (1945-2021), Chuck Jones is rolling in his grave.

Jones' other characters will be currently active such as Elmer Fudd, Wile E.
