Again good idea here.
But you should pay attention to the surroundings. Here the crumbled table sheet (or something) seems a bit distracting and careless.
Also I don't see any reason to keep it so close to the wall. Bringing it farther away from it would again make the background more blurred
Rhere are few things affecting the blur of the background ("bokeh", the artistic qualities of the blur of background). Higher aperture (lower f-number), longer focal lenght, distance to target (closer to target with certain focal lenght, more blurred the background) and distance to backgroud (farther the background, more blurred it is).

Shame the sheet was a distraction - was my attempt at creaking a scene - of what Im not sure :S
I was keeping it close to get a sharp shadow. I wanted the shadow to be an extension of the flowers.
Not sure my meaning came accross with this one as it did with sunflower.

It's actually quite difficult to get the crumbled sheet to look good. I've tried it few times and failed always.

I will lose it for the next time.
Or maybe get some satin - that can often make nice shapes natually.
