Description Alright, so it been a while. Sorry!
I am currently getting back into painting. I took a 6 months break because of school, but now it's the summer and even though I wouldn't say I have plenty of time I still have a lot more then before I started this piece about 6 months ago, but never got around to finish it. So tonight I decided I would finish it before moving on to a next painting. I forgot how fun it is to paint, (It's also very frustrating when you realize you do not quite have the skills yet to do what you wanted to do at first...). Kinda rush it at the end, but I really wanted to move on because my next paintings gonna be a series of landscapes on one of my favourite video game, exciting!

I am kinda rusty though, some studies wouldn't be a bad idea

Digging the very graphic look. Really lets color and composition speak and read well.

Aw thanks! I hope to move up to trying some very sci-fi landscapes and buildings like you can do so well

Beautiful , somehow it reminds me of the alien landscapes in the game "The Dig".

Thank you! Didn't knew about that game, checked a couple videos of it and it looks pretty cool! Pretty impress by the backgrounds and the cutscenes.

This is actually very cool, i like the non-detailed style you used

Thanks. Details are great, but it's really the last thing I am worrying about. I think that communicating the scene with a good composition, perspective, colours choice and brush strokes are the way more important than details, I am far from having master any of those things, so for the time being I am not wasting time on details (You can spend 10h detailing a single rock, there is no limit) and focusing on the basics of painting.

That said, I love speed paintings where there is literally no time spent on details. I just find it a lot more interesting to see how people can render complicated objects with only a couple brush stokes. Β  Β

Yeah, I feel you, and yes, its way better to give the message with a good composition etc than a detailed rock without a message.

By the way, you are very good, keep on it, and if you can, experiment a little with some details, its always good and fun to experiment with things you dont like, and Im sure could both do great things with details or without themΒ

I will. I am thinking of doing a whole lot of studies before starting my new pieces. I'll try to had details to a couple of them and see how it turn out.
