This is my part of the arttrade with there is a "funny" story related to this picture, while I was doing it, my comp desided to spontaniously restart itself. It does that on occasion, and it was glitchy all day. Anyway when it loaded the video card adapter got itself uninstalled so I only had 800x600 resolution, and whooping 16 colours... And of course the ATI driver that downloaded from official ATI website refused to work... Yeah, so I had lots of fun fixing it. WinAmp, that I was listening to at the time got nucked in a big way. Not only it did not work, but the folderd in its directory were so damaged they were not even deletable. Good stuff... The pic was fine, not that it matters, I make backups every thirty seconds like a paranoid freak, so even if that file was damaged... meh...Oh yeah so here is a picture of Maki and Yuki, Dez's characters about whom he hopefully make a comic ^__^ And hopefully it'll have lots of graphic violence and shooting (a few ballistic missiles could not hurt either... ahm... well in a figure of speach) ^____^ I took a bit of liberty with their clothes... and faces, but I tried to maintain general style and colours. I hope it's OK.

Oh yeah, same shoes, awesome! I only found out recently what they were called. When i first heard of the name Converse, I thought it was something specific that emo kids were wearing, but then I found out it referred to *those* shoes, that a few years back every other person was wearing regardless of age gender or emoness... Yeah, I never know names for things, sometimes when me and my friend are at a mall I'd ask "what's that type of shirt called"...

Those shoes have been around since the 50s or so... they're some of those strange things that keep being fashionable and not fashionable over and over with time... They're fun to draw, that's for sure.

I suck, I still have a lot work to do on my own half of the trade... but don't worry, I'll have it done this week
Now, regarding this picture, what can I say? I'm blown away. It's very lovely. Yeah, they look quite different from my versions, but it's cool, this is exactly how I pictured Maki and Yuki would look like in your universe!
And this also means I can take more liberties with my half of the deal... That's a good thing, because to be honest, I was trying to emulate your style a little too much and it hindered my progress.
Man, I really LOVE it. We should do more of these ^^

Hey ^^ I said it was going to be ready Monday, and I was right ^___^ I'm glad you like it! I was kind of uninspired last week, and that whole video-card-driver killing incident only made it worse... But as my granda used to say "appetite comes once you start eating" so when I started on Yuki's ouitfit, I got some groove back ^___^

I think that when doing fanart one probably should not try to emulate the style, I just look at the characters, trying to ... um... "understand" them and then reproduce them in my own way (because I know I couldn't do a different style to save my life ^__^)
And I really liked doing it, we should do more art trades...

Yes, I like it when characters in a picture look at each other rather then at "the camera" so to speak, it makes it look more natural, also the way I do eyes, they look better when irises are to one side rather then in the middle ^___^
