Saw some art lately of anthro characters just basically standing against the sexual sides of the furry/anthro fandom, thought it was such a needed and understated message that I had to join Max in. (not super detailed as you can tell, just very simple quick lines and color)

Well, sure, having seen a few yiff arts that are just for the sake of yiffing (especially when the measly artists draw private parts for the sake of showing that they can/want to draw them, quality be damned), I can understand why yiff has been marring the furry fandom for too long, but if you ask me, to me, those professional artists drawing humans and then offer NSFW versions just feels like the same brand of gratuitous sexual contents.

Like, I really wonder why nobody labels people who watch lots of movies as "Movie'ers". But as soon as somebody plays video games is a "Gamer". Same here with "Furry". But then again, it's all vague.

Movie nerds? That's not as prominent as a "culture" because everybody loves movies, especially geeks, and since geek culture ranges between tons of different cultures so movie nerds are basically spread out between groups.
What I think is most funny is that people who really enjoy and obsess over movies and games and geek culture are kind of made fun of by people who...rave and obsess about watching a bunch of real people knock eachother over on artificial turf in the middle of a stadium.
