This Mandalorian show has me HOOKED
I literally sit on the edge of my seat watching this show, something I haven't really had for the majority of recent starwars stuff. Maybe you're one of those people that's gotten fed up with Starwars stuff over the past 5 years, but trust me, this show is worthwhile.

I always hold the original trilogy in the highest regards, but close behind I have always held Rogue One to be the next best of all Star Wars content released. I now place the Mandalorian next to Rogue One. Possibly just above it for narrative reasons. Or rather for the simple fact that the Mandalorian doesn't stretch its focus across too many main characters like Rogue One did.
This is literally the Star Wars I have always wanted, ever since Empire Strikes Back. A bounty hunter space western. I almost feel like this show is specifically catering to me. The moment the first trailer premiered a while ago, I was immediately jumping out of my seat excited because it was exactly what I wanted from Star Wars, although my practical brain knew it would probably come out OK-ish, mediocre and largely forgettable, like the majority of Star Wars stuff released under Disney lately, so I lowered my hopes for a while.
Until the show came out. And people were immediately talking about how good it was. And suddenly my unbridled excitement was re-kindled.
To any of you who haven't seen it, I strongly recommend. And obviously it's not the most perfect thing in the entire world (nothing really is) since it has its small flaws here and there, and it's not as big budget as the major films, but if you want something about as quality in writing as Rogue One, watch this show. I think episode 8 comes out today, the 27th? I'm super hyped.
